Emily and I met through our church “Grace Vineyard” in Christchurch. I have been a youth leader there for some time now, and she had recently joined our team. We had known each other before that but only really as acquaintances. But it really wasn’t until Emily invited herself to come surfing with us boys one afternoon that I started to consider us being anything more than friends.I spent the following 3 to 4 weeks pursuing her, taking every opportunity that I could to hang out with her. We went tramping, surfing, took drives, went on walks, etc. She however was completely oblivious to the whole thing. That was until one of our mutual friends (also now my sister in-law) asked her what was going on between us and what she thought of me.Emily and I have now been together for over a year and a half, and engaged for the past 2 months. We are both very excited about our upcoming wedding and can’t wait to begin our life together.

Well, the deed is done and we’re officially ‘Mr & Mrs’ McNabb We had a wonderful day/night at the Cardrona Hotel and can’t recommend the venue or the staff highly enough – everything was amazing!
