Still can’t believe that I won, so stoked!

I met the man of my dreams at my first Salsa dance lesson when I was living in Nelson. After spending time together whilst we learnt how to dance we decided that it would be fun to go away for a weekend to Christchurch. The salsa scene is great there and we could go skiing at Mount Hutt too. What a weekend to choose, as it was the weekend of the September earthquake! We got out of the city as fast as we could to go skiing - what an awesome day - a metre of snow and no people! That was the day that I fell in love with Jared. 8 months later Jared proposed to me and I said yes! I can’t wait to be Mrs Wallace.
Sally and Jared will be getting married on the 18^th February 2012 at Pudding Hill lodge near Methven.   So not long to go now!!!!!!!

Emily and I met through our church “Grace Vineyard” in Christchurch. I have been a youth leader there for some time now, and she had recently joined our team. We had known each other before that but only really as acquaintances. But it really wasn’t until Emily invited herself to come surfing with us boys one afternoon that I started to consider us being anything more than friends.I spent the following 3 to 4 weeks pursuing her, taking every opportunity that I could to hang out with her. We went tramping, surfing, took drives, went on walks, etc. She however was completely oblivious to the whole thing. That was until one of our mutual friends (also now my sister in-law) asked her what was going on between us and what she thought of me.Emily and I have now been together for over a year and a half, and engaged for the past 2 months. We are both very excited about our upcoming wedding and can’t wait to begin our life together.

Mike took Karol up to the lookout at Duder Regional Park where there was a beautiful view over the gulf and Clevedon farmland. Mike proposed in the wind and rain on his knees in the mud, which Karol loved! On their way back down they slipped and slid back to the car with the gorgeous ring and went straight to the nearest cafe to celebrate with hot chocolate and tarts. Karol loves the ring and can’t wait to choose the band to match.
